Chef Jim Voltz's 2010 cooking class schedule is listed below.  There are four separate classes this season with each class being offered at three different times.  All classes run approximately 2.5 hours and consist of cooking demonstrations, wine selections, and tastings of the prepared dishes.  Students will go home with detailed recipes and plenty of tips for successful entertaining.   All classes are held in the beautiful Lake Michigan home of Betsie Hosick near Frankfort.  The price per class is $50.  Payment is due at the time of the class.  We accept personal checks or cash, sorry we are not setup to take credit cards.  To enroll, use the feedback form on the "Enroll/Contact Us" page on this website.   You will receive a confirmation e-mail within 24 hours. 


2010 Dinner on the Porch Cooking Class Schedule

A Great Brunch Menu:  This class will cover new brunch recipes from Jim's second cookbook, "Brunch on the Porch," which will be available in May.  Menu items will include:  Gazpacho Soup Sunny Shores, Eggs Florentine, Sausage Biscuits, and Orange Surprise.
     Session 1:  Tuesday, June 15 at 10:00 a.m.   (only 1 seat left)
     Session 2:  Tuesday, June 15 at 2:00 p.m.
     Session 3:  Wednesday, June 16 at 10:00 a.m.


 
One Dish Meals:  This class will cover hearty dishes that are a complete meal in themselves. 
     Session 1:  Tuesday, July 13, 10:00 a.m.   (Session is FULL, waitlist only)
     Session 2:  Tuesday, July 13,   2:00 p.m.  (only 1 seat left!)
     Session 3:  Wednesday, July 14, 10:00 a.m.


 
Desserts:  We know this one will be popular.  Everyone loves desserts and during this class Chef Jim will be demonstrating desserts that go particularly well with your summer meals.
     Session 1:  Tuesday, August 10, 10:00 a.m.
     Session 2:  Tuesday, August 10,  2:00 p.m.  
     Session 3:  Wednesday, August 11, 10:00 p.m.  (Session is FULL, waitlist only)
  
 

 
Hors d'oeuvres:  Do you have trouble coming up with new items to serve at parties?  This class will give students several new hors d'oeuvre recipes.  It's also a little preview of Chef Jim's third cookbook which is going to be all about Hors d'oeuvres and is scheduled for publication May 2011.
