Jim Voltz, Le Cordon Bleu trained chef and long time Crystal Lake summer resident, will be conducting a limited number of cooking classes during the 2010 summer season. His first class this season is all about brunch and features recipes from Jim's second cookbook, "Brunch on the Porch," available May 2010. One-dish meals will be the topic of his second class. In his third class, Jim will be demonstrating several new desserts. He'll round out the season with a class on Hors d'oeuvres. Just like the 2008 and 2009 seasons, students in this summer's cooking classes will learn how to master the demonstrated recipes and gain techniques that will benefit them in all their cooking going forward. Students will be able to sample all dishes along with the recommended wines and will receive detailed recipes to take home with them. More good news, Betsie Hosick has once again graciously offered to host all the 2010 classes in her beautiful home overlooking Lake Michigan.
